Linda Margaret Scarano

Linda Margaret Scarano, 80, formerly of Homosassa, Florida, peacefully passed away on March 12, 2024. Born September 12, 1943 to Olga and Clayborn Mathews, Linda joined her older sister, Joyce, in Union City, New Jersey. Linda married the great love of her life, Carlo Scarano, on September 24, 1961, and three children were born from this union. The family of five made their home in Staten Island, New York until Linda and her husband, along with their youngest son Dave, moved to Florida in 1984. A devout Catholic, Linda was deeply committed to her devoted husband and children. As a homemaker, Linda took great pride in making everyone feel at home through her robust and abundant cooking. Since the passing of her husband, Linda found unlimited happiness in watching her family grow to ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Linda is survived by her loving children: Carolyn (Joe), Carl (Jeane) and David (Rebecca); her grandchildren and the lights of her life: Joey (Christina), Corinne (Carlos), Michael, Carl (Alyssa), Anthony (Caleb), Olivia, Sophia, Davey, Luke and Jayson; her great grandchildren Nico, Roman, Giovanni, Cayden and Braxton, as well as her sister, Joyce (Joe). Friends will be received on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Macrini-Wilder Funeral Home in Homosassa, where a Catholic Prayer Service will commence at 11:00 A.M. with Deacon Mark Manko officiating. Entombment will follow at 12:00 Noon at Fountains Memorial Park in Homosassa.
