

Lloyd A. “Soljie” Bryan, 85, of Homosassa, Florida, passed away on Wed., May 25th, 2016 at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River, Florida. A native of Kingston, Jamaica, he was born April 30, 1931 and as a young man was a military veteran of the Jamaica Defense Forces. In his professional life, he followed the path of Taxi Driver and Welder in his native Jamaica. Soljie, as he was known to many, moved to Homosassa permanently in 2008 from Patterson, New Jersey; having snow birded to Homosassa for a number of years prior to 2008. Mr. Bryan loved all sports and was an avid New York Yankees fan, as well as a music lover and a professional Disc Jockey. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Petrona C. “Jean” Bryan, Homosassa; sister, Dorothy Bryan; daughters Pamela Bryan and Jacqueline Johnson; sons Danny, Junior, Anthony “Ruddy” and Richard Bryan and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at the Fountains Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, Homosassa, Florida. Bishop Walter G. McKoy, Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, Englewood, New Jersey is officiating. Entombment will follow immediately after.
