Margaret Ellen Grimm, 81, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Fri., Aug. 6, 2021 at Vitas Healthcare in Lecanto, FL. A native of Oak Park, Illinois, she was born Feb. 28, 1940 to Dr. Joseph Clarence and Margaret (McIntosh) Sodaro. In 1959, she married her late husband of 55 years, Maj. Jay R. Grimm, USAF (RET), who passed away on Oct. 30, 2014. Mrs. Grimm earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Ancient History from the University of Maryland and was an expert equestrian with jumpers and also bred ponies and drove them. “Peggy”, as she was known to her siblings and “Maggie”, as she was known to her friends, moved to Homosassa from Frederick, MD in 2000 and pursued her enjoyment of the game of golf through her membership with Sugarmill Woods Golf and Country Club in Homosassa. She and her late husband Jay were inseparable and Margaret was of the Roman Catholic faith. In addition to her parents and her husband Jay, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dean Joseph Sodaro. She is survived by her children Eric Grimm (Faith), Tustin, CA; Bruce Grimm (Lisa), Westminster, MD and Stuart Grimm (Sandra), Bethlehem, PA; sister Joan Waller, The Villages, FL; brother Donald Sodaro, Tustin, CA; sister Janet Murnan, West Palm Beach, FL and grandchildren Alexander, Philip, Meighan, Thomas and Henry. Friends will be received on Thurs., Aug. 12, 2021 at 11:30 A.M. at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, where a Catholic Prayer Service and Celebration of Life will take place at 12:00 Noon with Fr.
