

Milagros Urrutia, 70, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Advent Health Connerton in Land O’ Lakes, FL. A native of Bronx, NY, she was born Dec. 12, 1955 to Pedro and Minerva (Morales) Luna, one of thirteen children. Millie, as she was known to everyone, was a retired Radiological Technologist in hospitals and the healthcare field. Mrs. Urrutia moved to Homosassa fifteen years ago and was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Homosassa. In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by siblings Carmen Hidalgo, Marie Stefanini and Paul, Miguel and Carlos Luna. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Thomas Urrutia; children Richard VanStone, Vincent Urrutia and Harlee Luna; godchildren Arieanna Crockwell, Vivianna Flores, and Jennifer and Adam Roman; siblings Pedro, Frances, twin sister Concepcion, Lazarus, Nancy, Marcus and Santia and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Sat., April 11, 2026 from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Macrini-Wilder Funeral Home, 4890 South Suncoast Blvd., Homosassa, FL 34446, where a Catholic Prayer Service will be held at 2:45 P.M. with Deacon Mark Manko of St. Scholastica Catholic Church officiating.
