

Robert William Lanoue, 74, of Homosassa, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Tampa General Hospital Crystal River in Crystal River, Florida. A native of Bennington, Vermont, he was born December 24, 1951 to Eugene and Ruby (Dunakin) Lanoue, one of two children. Robert served his country honorably and proudly in the United States Navy from October of 1971 until March of 1975 and served aboard the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier U.S.S. Independence. Mr. Lanoue was a lifelong construction laborer and, in addition to his parents, was preceded in death by a nephew, Darrin Alvaro; great nephew Michael Johnson, Jr. and also his beloved dog Buttons. Robert is survived by his two daughters: Jamie Lanoue of Delanson, New York, April Lanoue of Schenectady, New York; his son Sam Lanoue of Albany, New York: granddaughter Ameera Davis of Albany, New York; Jeannie Forand, his sister who cared for him and brother-in-law Robert Forand of Homosassa, Florida; niece Amanda Banks of Orlando, Florida and nephew Jason Alvaro of Oregon and great nephew Brandon Jingle of South Carolina.
