Samuel Henry Johnson Sr.

Samuel Henry Johnson, Sr., 89, passed away November 29, 2012 surrounded by family. He was born in Staten Island, NY and came to Florida some fifty years ago. He owned Sam Johnson’s Land Clearing and when he wasn’t doing that, he liked to fish. He was a veteran of WWII. Samuel is preceded in death by his wife Carol and son Joseph Johnson. He is survived by his daughter Mae Mitcheson and husband Jim, daughter Rosemary Holsomback, daughter Debbie Sheppard and husband Gary, son Samuel Henry Johnson Jr., grandchildren Marybeth and Bennett Osteen, James and Kelly Mitcheson, Thomas and Timmy Friery, Billie and James Sheppard, Michael and Debbie Clayton, Michele Shreve and husband Bill, Melanie Hunter and husband Jim, Holly and Joanne Johnson and 20 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. He liked everyone and they all liked him. A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa. Interment will follow at Fountains Memorial Park, Homosassa, with military honors rendered by American Legion Post 155, Crystal River.
