Susan P. King

Susan P. King, 82, of Homosassa, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Mon., Jan. 26, 2015 at Hospice House in Lecanto surrounded by her loving family. A native of Lincoln, NE, she was born Aug. 17, 1932 to John and Mary (Curtis) Peterson, one of three children. Susan was a retired administrator and was instrumental in the operation of the Partners of Self Sufficiency in Pinellas Park and was a former guardian ad litem in Pinellas County. She moved to Homosassa over eight years ago from Pinellas Park, and came to Florida originally from Schuyler, NE in 1985. Mrs. King was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and was of the Christian faith. Susan is survived by her husband of 64 years, Joseph A. King, Homosassa; son Peter Joseph King (wife Patsy), Knoxville, TN; daughter Mary T. Farrar (husband Douglas), Brandon, FL; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sons, Stephen A. and Anthony E. King. Friends will be received on Fri., Jan. 30, 2015 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, where a celebration of Susan’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M.
