Tracey L. Carlson

Tracey L. Carlson, 50, of Homosassa, passed away on Sat., March 15, 2014 at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center. A native of Rockford, ILL, she was born Oct. 13, 1963 to Lawrence and Carolyn (Carter) Carlson, one of three children. She moved to Citrus County in 1974 from St. Pete Beach and sold cars for a number of years in her family’s business, Larry’s Auto Sales of Homosassa. Tracey was also a gifted musician and singer, having been a member of the Blue River Band and Hot Rocks. Tracey also performed at Margarita Grill as well as Neon Leons. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, J.D. Sheets, Homosassa; son Ethan Ellis of Winter Park; parents Larry and Carolyn Carlson, Crystal River; brother Brent Carlson, Crystal River; sister Jill Lass, Williston and maternal grandmother Marie Ashley, also of Crystal River. A celebration of Tracey’s life will take place on Thursday, March 20th at 4:00 P.M. at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa. Interment will be private.
