Wayne W. Heater, Sr.

Wayne W. Heater, Sr., 52, of Homosassa, Florida, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022. A native of Trenton, New Jersey, he was born September 6, 1969 to Lawrence II and Joyce (Hann) Heater. Wayne moved to Homosassa in 1999 from Dunn, North Carolina and was employed as a roofer for AAA Roofing in Citrus County for many years. When he was not working, Wayne’s perfect day would revolve around racing stock cars, a passion he pursued since 2000. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 30 years, Candy Lynn Heater, on September 15, 2021; a son, Wayne W. Heater, Jr. in 2005 and a sister Tammy Barnes. He is survived by his daughters: Sonya Heater (Matthew Cummins) of Homosassa, Florida and Rebecca Heater of New Jersey; grandchildren Tiana and Davin Galan of New Jersey and Maleigha and Camden Cummins of Homosassa; siblings Wanda Walker (Jerry) and Lawrence Heater III, both of Florida; Dewayne Heater of Tennessee; Marjorie Hann (Victor) of Georgia; Woodrow Hann, Jr. (Cheryl) and Cindy Hann, both of Pennsylvania, and Tina Reynolds, Dale Hann and Bruce Heater, all of Tennessee; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration Of Life will be held at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, Florida on Tues., September 6, 2022 at 1:30 P.M. with Rev. Jonathan Beard officiating.
