Bessie was born February 20, 1937, in Honolulu, Hawaii to Phillip and Grace Tanaka.
She is survived by her husband, Michael, daughter Sally Kuboyama (grandchildren, Michael, Chad and Calyn), and son Glenn (granddaughter Charli). Also survived by siblings Leatrice Nagasawa, Kenneth Tanaka, Shirley Sakaguchi, and David Tanaka. She is preceded in death by her parents, Phillip S. and Grace Y. Tanaka, and brothers Raymond Tanaka and Charlie Tanaka.
Visitation for Bessie will be held Monday, December 12, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. at Borthwick Mortuary, 1330 Maunakea Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96817. Services at 5:00 p.m., followed with food and refreshments from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
