Christopher Ponia Minoru Kekipi, born October 21, 1935 in Wailuku, Maui passed peacefully in his sleep at home in Mililani on Monday November 17, 2025. Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 16, 2025 at 9 am at Borthwick Mortuary, Maunakea chapel, 1330 Maunakea St. Honolulu, Hawai'i. Burial to follow at 1 pm at the National Cemetery of the Pacific, 2177 Puowaina Dr., Honolulu, Hawai'i.
Christopher graduated from Kamehameha, class of '54. He retired from the United States Army after over 20 years of service. He also retired from BHP (formerly HIRI) as a pipeline operator.
Christopher was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (Toni), and daughters Kawena Kekipi and Wai Kekipi: brothers Gregory Kekipi, Peter Kekipi, Moses Aola, Harry Brown, and Dolly Yoshikawa: sisters Amoi Kama, Kame'e Kahiamoi, Poai Ceniza, and Annie Lau. He is survived by his children: Michelle Mahealani Kekipi, Christine Hua Kekipi, Reggie Kekipi, Trisha (Kourtni) Kekipi, Ua Tuahine Kekipi, Terry Sandobal, and Ruthann Kekipi: brother George Aola: sisters Irene Feery, Francis Pu'u, and Malu Dela Cruz. He also leaves behind 19 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
