Dorothy Adams

Visitation for Dorothy will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Borthwick Mortuary Mauka Chapel with Service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at 2:00 PM at Greenhaven Memorial Park.

Dorothy Adams was born to Thomas Freitas and Lily Hoe. She was married to Isaac Adams, who has pre-deceased her. Dorothy is survived by her son Derrick Adams and his wife Malia, as well as her daughters Laura Adams and Joyel Clarke, who is married to Joe and Pamela Adams pre-deceased. She had four sisters: Evelyn Passion, Charlotte Cabral, Rosina Galdeira, and Sharron Wolsey, along with a brother, Norman Freitas, who has also pre-deceased her. Dorothy was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren: Issac, Chad, Jessica, Jennifer, Jazmine, and Jahrius. Additionally, she had four great-grandchildren: Elijah, Naveah, Chloe, and Chozen. She is also remembered by many nieces and nephews. Known affectionately as "Dot" or "Dotty," Dorothy worked as the Head Cook at Castle High School for many years until her retirement. She was an active individual who kept herself engaged in various activities. Her interests included solving crossword puzzles, reading magazines (which were quite popular in her time), and she had a fondness for jewelry, plants, and chocolate! Dorothy's smile was both mischievous and infectious. She relied on us to carry on her legacy, to keep smiling, and to cherish the wonderful life she led. Her mind is now at peace, and her soul rests in tranquility.
