Douglas Elia Akau, 77, of Kamuela, Hawaii, passed away on May 15, 2015. He was born on the island of Hawaii, in the city of North Kohala. Mr. Akau served in the Air Force and was a Warehouse Foreman/Truck Driver. He is survived by his daughter, Alita-Ray Cookman; sons, Logan Elia Akau, Kinney Kiha Akau, and Douglas Kanaulu Akau; hanai daughter, Paula K. Holt; sister, Janet Stevens; brothers, Apitai Akau Jr., Alexander Akau, and Andrew Akau; hanai brother, Joseph Huddy; 16 Grandchildren and 22 Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on June 20, 2015 at Imiola Church in Kamuela, Hawaii, Visitation will be at 9am and service will begin at 10:30am.
Casual attire suggested.
