

He was born March 4, 1928 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He retired after 41 years of honorable Federal service with the U.S. Navy at the Navy Public Works Center, Joint Base Pearl Harbor. He was also a great baseball coach.
He was predeceased by Dorothy Moniz (Wife), Edward Ross Moniz, Jr. (Son), and Lillian Ishihara (Companion).
He is survived by Joann Kuulei Brito (Daughter), Eric Kalani Moniz (Son), David Moku Moniz (Son), Michael Brito (Grandson), Matthew Brito (Grandson), Gina Sun (Granddaughter), and Erica Hernandez (Granddaughter). He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren.
He was a kind and loving soul, a wonderful provider and role model to his family, a loyal and trustworthy friend to many. He is beloved and will be missed by many.
A visitation for Edward Ross Moniz will be held on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 9:30 AM at Borthwick Mortuary, 1330 Maunakea Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96817. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 14, 2020 at 10:30 AM at Borthwick Mortuary, 1330 Maunakea Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96817. A burial will occur on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery, 45-425 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744.
