ERIC CHARLES FONTES, 45, of Kapolei, died Sept. 13, 2011, at Pali Momi Medical Center. Born in Kaunakakai, Moloka’i on August 26, 1966. He graduated from Moloka’i High in 1984. He was a police officer with the City & County of Honolulu.
Survived by his wife, Li Ann; daughter, Corie Li (Charlie) Stephens; son, Layne Hironaka; 3 grandchildren; mother, Lottie Haia Burrows and step Father, Leslie Burrows; step mother Ann Fontes; sister, Leah Burrows-Nuuanu; brothers, Aaron Fontes, Leslie Burrows Jr., Leonard Burrows, Derek Fontes and Donald Rangasan.
Visitation 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday (September 30th) Borthwick Mortuary, Maunakea Chapel; service 5:30 p.m.
Officer Fontes will be taken home to Moloka’i for services on Saturday (Oct.8) at Ka Hale La’a O Ierusalema Hou Church. Visitation and service times to be determined. Please check our website for updated information on Moloka’i arrangements.
