My Mama,

A whole year has gone by and the heart is still so heavy. they say time heals all and things will get better...really???  Maybe someday

I know you will always be on my shoulder guiding me through all life's challenges and you knew what was waiting for us when you went home to Daddy.

I hear your voice each and everyday and I feel your spirit lift me when things get really heartaching.

Yes, your words are so vivid and so fresh it's like you are still here next to me.

I know you are not worried...you made sure we were strong and would be able to face all challenges.

I love YOU - MAMA!

Aunty Sue-Nee holds a special place in our hearts. She was a gracious host and a loving, tender soul. We were with her for such a short time, when we visited Hawaii in 2006, but she was immediately placed in our hearts forever. The family is in our prayers. The angels are rejoicing.

It is with a very saddened heart that I offer my deepest sympathy to the ohana of aunty Sue-Nee.  She was my favorite boss at Budget Rent a Car.  I will always cherish the fond memories of working with her.  Aloha and may god bless her ohana.   Adrian Kanuha

We are saddened to learn of the loss of such a gracioius and kind woman. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn her passing and celebrate her life.

Aunty Sue-Nee, a constant figure in our family, she loved and is loved.  Cousins, let's make every effort to spend time with each other, so that our meetings are not often with heavy heart.

Aunty would love that.

Dearest Aunty Sue-Nee,

My heart is filled with so much gratitude for the tender love you gave so freely of, leaving each one of us to feel so very special and blessed.  I hold a treasure chest filled with countless fond and cherished memories ~
of times singing "Princess Pupule" in car rides between the country and town homes - while the hula dolls bobbled in the back window, dinners at Flamingo's, picnics at Kapiolani Park, movie dates, strawberry ice cream cones from Lau's Drive-Inn, New Year's Eve parties to celebrate your birthday, and on and on and on. 

As we turn the page of this chapter in life, we are painfully aware that we won't be able to pick up the phone and hear your vibrant voice or behold your sweet smile, or listen to your words of wisdom.  You were always there on my shoulder, a moral compass if you will, and I could hear your voice and advice in my mind as I stumbled through life. 

Our faith in our Heavenly Father's promise and plan for us will help carry us through the days ahead as we prepare to celebrate your awesome life.  For our family members who are separated by distance, we will hold close to our hearts your love and thoughts. 

To my cousins and their ohana, thank you for sharing your Mom with all of us.  Your are her living treasures.  I can only imagine how much your hearts ache.  I love you.

Aunty Sue-Nee, you are deeply loved and sorely missed.  You are reunited with Uncle Emory, Darlene, your mom and all of your loving family and friends who have gone on before us, having a celebration and dancing on streets of gold.  Forever you remain my "other mother".  A hui hou.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

To My precious ohana, whom I love, miss and will continue to pray for God's comfort during this time of sorrow, I send my fondest and warmest aloha to all. Aunty has and always will, have such a special place in my heart. She was always like a second mother to me and many others that she embraced and loved, hence making her passing so difficult to comprehend and grasp. Our intelligence tells us that no one lives forever, yet, when we think of people like Aunty Sue-Nee, we seem to have a hard time allowing her to no longer be physically with us. I will miss her smile and laughter. I will always be grateful for the many good traits that she has instilled in me. I wish so badly that I can be there with y'all on the day that you physically lay her to rest, unfortunately I am unable, so please know that my heart and prayers will be ever mindful of the activities of that day and that you will all be wrapped in God's love and grace not just on the 15th, but forever after then too. I will be sure to pay my respects in person when I do come home to be with daddy in September. Till then, my precious loves, I love you, always, Mopsy.
