Franklin was a very loving provider and was proud of his two sons Franklin “Tiga” Phillips Junior (with two grandsons) and Chadwick Phillips (with wife, Brenda Phillips, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild), as well as, his daughter Brookes Phillips. He outlived his parents and all of his siblings and has been survived by his wife, Natalie Phillips and most of his children. From a prior marriage, Franklin was predeceased by the eldest daughter Francine Frank and has another living daughter, Celeste Ferias.
A sports coach and mentor, boss and legend, Franklin wore many hats throughout his life. To those he coached, he was loved by all. Losing, was never in his vocabulary. To those who worked for him at HI-Grade Plumbing and Au’s Plumbing & Mechanical Shop, he was known as someone hard core. But those close to him saw that he had a big heart and was a jolly big teddy bear on the inside with an immense amount of knowledge to offer.
In his spare time, Franklin loved to throw net, fish and go camping. At least two to three times a year, he would travel with his wife to Vegas and to Maui. Franklin always dreamt about renting a motor home and driving across America with his family. Sadly, due to his illness, his dreams would stay dreams. With a great big smile sitting in his chair either watching tv, working on a puzzle, or playing Sudoku, is how he spent his most recent days. Franklin was constantly finding things around the house to fix and found joy in driving his wife around to run errands.
