Gwen Carvalho was born on October 24, 1940. She was the youngest of three children, she had an older brother and sister, David and Lorrain. Mom was raised in Kapahulu, she graduated from Kaimuki High School, where she met her lifelong BFF Vicky Montero. After high school, mom went to a community college where she took up booking, and from there started her career as a bookkeeper working at several car dealerships. She married our dad Alfred Carvalho and had four children; Shelly, Carla as well as twins Renee and Ryan. Some of mom's hobbies were her love for taking care of her plants, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and loving her pride and joy, her dog max. Mom also loved going holoholo with Auntie Vicky; they liked going to movies, riding around the island, and just hanging out together. Then the grandchildren started to come along. Mom had nine grandchildren; Chase, Johnny, Haley, Bronson, Hayden, Allison, Joshua, Marlee Rae, and Rylee. Mom and Auntie Vicky would take the grandchildren on all kinds of outings spoiling them as all grandparents do. In life, the most important to mom was God and her family. Mom was such a sweet and kind-hearted person that put everyone first. She was our matriarch, she was our world, she was and still is our SUNSHINE.
We love you, Mom, always and forever until we meet again!!
