James “Sonny” Shattuck Sr. of Honolulu passed away at home on March 3, 2019. He was born on July 28, 1934. He graduated from Mountainview High School in California and worked as a glazier, construction estimator, construction foreman, and in furniture and appliance sales on Oahu during his career. He was predeceased by his parents, William “Toby” Shattuck and Thelma (Ijima) Shattuck and sister Jeanette Copp.
He is survived by his wife Hannah of 61 years, and sons James Jr. and William, granddaughters Makamae “Hoku” Shattuck, Brandie Jean “Mahina” Shattuck, Leilani Shattuck and Miki Shattuck, and great-grandchildren Kainalu, Nixon and Nova.
Services will be held Friday, April 5, 2019 at Borthwick Mortuary, Maunakea Chapel with Visitation 9:30 am, Services 10:30 am, followed with a lunch reception. Burial at Hawaiian Memorial Park at 2:00 pm.
