

Jun Hui Li, age 79, of Honolulu Hawaii, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday October 31, 2025.
Born and raised in China, Jun Hui lived a life of quiet strength and deep devotion. Before immigrating to Hawaii in 1984, he worked diligently as a farmer – a life that taught the values of patience, humility, and hard work. He also had a passion for Eastern medicine and often made nourishing soups tailored to different ailments.
A devoted follower of the Buddha’s teachings, Jun Hui found peace and purpose in his faith. He loved to listen to and share the words of Buddhism.
Jun Hui is survived by his wife, Jiaqi, his daughters Anne, Chrissy (Allan), and Cindy (Andrew); grandchildren Edward (Chantal), Erick, Ethan, Allison, and Liam; and his great-granddaughter Mexly.
May his soul rest in eternal peace and serenity.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 17, 2025, from 10:30am at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel. Burial at 12:30pm, followed by a gathering at Seafood Legend.
