

Karen was a retired reservations clerk with over 30 years of service at Aloha Airlines. She and her husband Larry were world travelers and took several trips a year. In her retirement she was very active with tap dance, country line dance and ukulele lessons. She also enjoyed singing and playing in the bell choir and headed several committees at her church, United Church of Christ-Judd Street.
She is predeceased by her husband Lawrence Mun, son Everett Mun, brother Alvin Young, and parents Kai Tong Young and Hazel Lau Young. She is survived by her children Carlson Mun (Venancia), Jewel Toyama (Gerald) and Lovelyn Voorhees (Kenneth). Grandchildren Chelsea Shiraishi (Kalani), Brandee Lei Toyama, Kristen Mun-Van Noy (Adam) of Portland, OR Troy Toyama of Corvallis, OR Lacee Toyama of New York City, NY, Matthew Mun of Portland, OR and Asia Voorhees of Tacoma WA. Great grandchildren, Kysen and Kairi Shiraishi. And many nieces and nephews.
Her celebration of Life will be on Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, at
Borthwick Mortuary- 1330 Maunakea St, Honolulu, HI 96817
Visitation is at 10am and the service will be at 11 am
