

MAGDALENA TADENA “DINA” TACADENA, 48, of Waimanalo, Hawaii, entered into Eternal Life on Tuesday, February 12, 2013. She was born September 25, 1964 in Binaloan, Pangasinan, Philippines to parents Juan and Maria Tacadena and was preceded in death by her father Juan and nephew Brian Bugayong. Dina worked at the King Theatre and then at Longs Drugs until 1994. She met her husband in 1992 when they worked together at Longs Drugs, and they had their first daughter in 1993, a second daughter in 1994 and a third daughter in 1996. In 1994 after the birth of their second daughter, Dina became a homemaker. Her hobbies were watching Korean dramas, playing “Bejeweled 2” on her iPad, cards and Las Vegas. She enjoyed family gatherings and friends, but Dina most enjoyed taking care of her husband and children. She is so loved and will be missed.
She is survived by husband, John Nawai Kamauu; daughters, Melissa-Sue Keanuenuemaikalani Kamauu, Kristina Hemakanahiwahiwaakealoha Kamauu and Cyndi Kananiokalaikekakahiaka Kamauu; mother, Maria Tacadena; brothers, Orlando (Aida) Tacadena, Rogelio Tacadena, Edwin (Kim) Tacadena, Juanito (Lucy) Tacadena, Eugene (Cathy) Tacadena, Joseph (Hazel) Tacadena; sisters, Yolanda (Robert) Bugayong and Marie Gene (Ray) Subia; nephews & nieces, Anthony Josh Tacadena, Edith (Silvestre) Daguio, Courtney Ann Aglipay, Chanel Aglipay, Rochelle Amber Daguio, Rachel Lynn Daguio, Randi Mae Daguio, Robert (Anna) Bugayong, Jr., Rhyan & Aleena Bugayong, Christopher Bugayong, Devin Tacadena-Negrete, Devanie Negrete, Aaron Tacadena, Cristi Tacadena, Brandon Tacadena, Naomi Hart, Nani Layco, Jonah Layco, Masen Julian, Ramsey Tacadena, Rylie Tacadena, Rasidy Tacadena, Jacob Tacadena Leanne Tacadena, Leah Tacadena, Genine Tacadena, Chyann Tacadena, Caitlen Tacadena, Giani Tacadena, Neia Tacadena, Naleia Tacadena, Joel Tacadena, Rodel Tacadena, Mary Ann Tacadena.
Visitation is from 5:30-8:45 p.m. March 7, 2013 (Thursday) at Borthwick Mortuary-Maunakea Chapel; wake service is at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue in the Maunakea Chapel from 8:30-9:30 a.m. March 8, 2013 (Friday); service is at 9:30 a.m. Burial is at 1:00 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery. Flowers are welcome. Casual attire is suggested.
