She is survived by son, Irwin Kalani Akui; daughter, Lana May Akui- Franco; brothers, James, Rawlins and Arthur Aweau; sisters, Audrey Loo, Shirley Camara and Gloria Arges; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Borthwick Mortuary at 1330 Maunakea Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96817 on Thursday, August 23, 2012. Visitation is at 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Service is at 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Burial will be held at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, at 45-349 Kamehameha Highway, Kaneohe on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.
