Mary was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and she was the eldest daughter of 5 children. She moved to New York after WW2, where she met her husband, Weston. Together, they were married for over 67 years and raised 7 children. After Mary retired from the New York City Police Department in 1994, she and Weston moved to Honolulu for retirement.
She is survived by her children Kelvin, Richard Kelsen, Vernon, Lora, Wilson, and Darwin as well as seven grandchildren Jonathan, Christopher, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Maylani, Lana, and Leila.
Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, a private service will be held on October 19th. Mary will be interred in Hawaiian Memorial Cemetery in Kaneohe, Hawaii.
