My Mother Lina's greatest joy was her family. She is lovingly survived by her children, Tully (Francis ) Galuvao, Melina Fuamatu Tofilau and Repeka Fuamatu-Tofilau and her spouse, Tavita Togia. They were the heart of her world - the people she worked hard , prayed for and loved with her entire being. Her devotion to her children and family was unwavering, and her legacy lives on through them.
Deeply proud of her Smoan heritage, my mother lived the values of the fa'a Samoa or the samoan way of life through her loyalty to family, her humility and her sense of duty. Her Catholic Faith was the foundation of her life. She prayed and worshipped silently, often saying the rosary, trusting in God's presence rather than seeking recognition. One scripture that reflects her faith is:
" Aua e te fefe, aua ou te ia te oe; aue e te mata'u aua a'u o lou Atua" (So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand" Isaiah 41:10
Thank you mom for always being there for me and my sisters with your never-ending support and love. You always taught us to work hard and always try our best and with the power of prayer we can do anything. You taught us how to live life based on being kind with lots of love and forgiveness. We will always cherish and remember you in our hearts forever mom. We love you and will see you soon.
