Just want to thank Major Michael Bell  and the rest of Nellis AFB military family who gave me their unlimited support, love, sympathy and financial resources to give my child all I need to get him home and give him final rest.
Special thanks to Major Bell because he was the one who stayed with Richard during his last moment in the funeral home. His last crucial moment, my son was not alone.  For a mother, words are not enough to express how grateful I am he was there.  He stayed with him until my son gave his last dying breath. 

One year without you

It is your first death anniversary  my love, my son . Oh! how my heart breaks!  I miss you and I love you. Not a day goes by that you are not with me, in my memories and in my heart. 

And I know everyone who knows you feel the same way. You are not just a brother, a nephew, a grandchild,  a relative, a friend, but an inspiration and bearer of hope in the community, not just in our family life, all the Medinas  Forondas and Bartolome, but also to your @Nellis Air Force friends and all your military friends far and wide as well as the private ones. .Your unwavering charisma,  your Aloha spirit, beliefs and your love for every one were evident in every aspect of your life. You served as an inspiration to us all, constantly reminding us of the power of love, compassion, and forgiveness.

I will forever cherish the countless memories we shared, from heartfelt conversations to joyful moments of laughter, your swetness and even to the ones where your stubbornness prevails.  You really are my child.

My son was always there for me, and to his sisters offering guidance, support, and a shoulder to lean on during the most challenging times. He always have a way of making us laugh even during the trying times,  the memes he shared to us all, sometimes funny sometimes annoying yet still say "I am thinking of you, you are never alone". His faith never wavered, even in the face of adversity, and his presence brought light into the darkest of days.

As we come to terms with this tremendous loss, we will all remember the impact you had on our lives and the lives of others. Your legacy will continue to live on in the countless lives you touched, the lives you changed for the better.

We will all take comfort in the fact that you have found eternal peace and is reunited with our Lord.
Rest in peace, my son.  You are greatly missed, but never forgotten. Your spirit will forever shine bright within us. 🙏❤️

Mahalo to all the Southwest Air crew, my boss Kelly White, military airmen, honor guard, officiating priest and officers from  Nellis AFB  and Hickam AFB,  for a beautiful 
"Dignified Arrival of a fallen soldier" service, and most of all, special thanks to the special care of Richard's escort, Des, and the love of Emmilyn, Jed and Koralyn  for bringing him back home.
Finally  my child is now back home.

I would just like to take this moment to thank each and everone of you.
We deeply appreciate your expression of sympathy.
Thank you for your prayers and thoughtfulness,  all your support,  be it through donations, kindness, and love, at this difficult time.
There are no words enough to say how we really appreciate you. 
We are also appreciative of your generosity, sharing your precious time and resources, giving us shelter and personal resources when we need it the most, sharing us your expertise, going above and beyond to help us in the bereavement process and settling his personal affairs, and most of all the precious memories, all the military Memorials, the beautiful presentation of his past life, the laughter and comforting words to lighten our load and grief.  
We are also very appreciative  of your generous donation in honor of Richard.   Thank you so very much.

Richard was one of my best friends. We met in 7th grade, and he was just this really quirky and funny guy that I loved being around. We cracked a lot of jokes and what not. He also was the one that taught me how to play the guitar, one of my favorite hobbies and passions now. Throughout the years, Richard was always the person that would be someone that brought light, to me and to others,  just from hanging out with him. Whether it be the countless hikes we’d go on, down to the times we got mondo burritos from Taco Del Mar, I enjoyed all those times with him. Richard was always one to put others first. He really had a heart for people, no matter who you were, where you came from, what your story was. That’s the kind of heart I want to have. I miss you bro. Continuing to pray that your family and friends find peace and healing during this time grieving. I love you bro.

It feels like it was just yesterday we were conversing about school! I’m glad I got to know you, hang out every now and then, and be one of your friends. You are loved and will undoubtedly be missed, Rest In Peace Richard. 

I first met Richard in when we were in the 6th grade. Growing up he always loved others and uplifted them especially when they were at the worst, in a way I’ve yet to see anyone else do. 
With him I’ve learned so many things, and some of my fondest memories with him were our talks while hiking back home in Hawaii, or the bonfires we had together with our friends. 
My prayers go out to his family, thank you for raising such an amazing man. 

Hi my name is Czarina and I’m Richard’s auntie. I came to Hawaii in April 1996 and Rj was only less than a year old. He’s such a cute baby and I had a lot of good memories with him. His with me all through my endeavors. It’s still surreal that he’s no longer here. Jeyo I love you boy and rest in peace my baby. You will remain in my heart forever. 

A1C Richard Medina was absolutely one of the finest F22 maintainers that I had the pleasure working with. His smile was contagious and you always knew he'd make you laugh. His humor had no bounds and could bring cheer to even the grumpiest of Crew Chiefs. His departure has left a hole in my heart I know can never be filled again. He will be greatly missed and cherished by all that knew him and my deepest condolences go to his family. Medina, I love and miss you Brother.

Aloha I’m Carolyn Lapointe. I’m from Oahu, Hawaii. I’ve known Richard since high school. We attended Waipahu High School where I met him hanging out by the stairs of one of the buildings. We started talking and became friends who shared the same interests which was anime. I remember him being so happy and always loving the adventures we had together. One memory that I’m fond of is when he would randomly call me and ask if I would like to hangout. He was very spontaneous about where we’d go. The hang we did was in Kaneohe late at night. We had dinner at windward mall and went to the beach and we saw these cool looking white crabs on the sand. We always had a good time together. 

Richard, I miss you so much. I hope that you will continue to be happy and spread the aloha spirit in heaven. You were truly like a brother to me. Until we meet again my friend. 

We were friends since middle school. Thanks for the memories, bud. 

As i watched your mother uploaded photos with much pride of you growing up...and how i see developments on carreer n family..as a far relative..i take pride also..

I'm very sorry to hear this tragic news.I'm shocked and saddened by this devastating news of you living us espevially your loving family.
