

Tomi Lee Yee, 69, of Kaneohe Hawai’i passed away peacefully on June 15, 2019, at Aloha Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with family and friends attended by her side. She was born on October 8, 1949 and raised in Long Beach California with her loving parents Jerry and Billle (Joyce) Taylor along with her two older brothers Robert (Bob) and Richard (Ricky). She moved to Hawai’i during the late 1960’s and met Dennis Yee as fellow neighbors, which blossomed into a devote and dedicated loving marriage for over 30 years. After her marriage, she became a new loving step-mother, had possessed several types of clerical occupations until she became a full-time caring mother to two daughters. During her lifetime, her passionate hobbies and personal interests included a wide range of various arts and crafts, gardening, a political advocate, frequent outings with family and loyal friends. She was always smiling, laughing, was very courteous and caring, enjoyed the simple things in life to the fullest, gave unconditional love to everyone and everything around her. Tomi was a beautiful woman with the heart of an angel and along with her husband, was always caring, giving or willing to help others- even complete strangers.
During her midlife, she was unfortunately diagnosed several times with various types of cancers, however with her loving spirit and strong will to survive, she was a cancer survivor for over 20 years. She however unfortunately and suddenly succumbed to its wrath in January and has been in care since her car accident and the discovery of a fatal cancer.
She is survived by her mother Billie “Joyce” Northrup; step-children Michelle, husband Joey & grandson Dant’e Castillo; Brian & his wife Leilani Yee, including her two daughters Nia and Kawena; daughters Jennifer Yee and granddaughter Zoey Leigh; and Jamie Lin Yee. Lastly she’s proceeded by numerous nieces & nephews and lifelong loving friends.
Private services were held. Her burial and final resting place where she will be reunited with her husband will be held at Hawaiian Memorial Park in Kaneohe on August 5, 2019 at 3:00p.m. The family has requested that Aloha to formal-casual attire be worn, along with a loving warm smile. She will never be forgotten and the memories she’s given and provided will always be remembered and treasured. As much as she loved angels and the birds that fly freely around her, may she join them as she watches over us and blesses us until the day we are again reunited.
