

Albert proudly served in the US Army and retired as an E9, Command Sergeant Major, from the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, NC. He received a Legion of Merit Medal, two Bronze Star Medals, two Purple Hearts, and two Meritorious Service Medals, an Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, and Non-commissioned officers Professional Development Ribbon with numeral IV. He also received the Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, and Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation with Palm. There are numerous other awards and badges.
Albert also retired from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department as a Lieutenant in Booking and Release.
His hobbies included listening to music, crossword puzzles, puzzles, and cooking.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sandra Finn; Parents, Mickey and Mary Finn; brother, Stephen Finn; son, Michael Frame; and grandson, David Frame. Also his favorite dachshunds, Missy and Luci Lou.
He is survived by his brother, John Finn (Nicolina); sister, Diane Chisholm (Ian); daughter, Paulette LaValley (John Jr); son, Albert Finn IV; and son, John Finn (Sonja). Grandchildren, Brandon Harrington, Sean Harrington, Whitney Glazier, Danielle Frame, Michael Frame, Katelyn Frame, David Finn, Madison Finn, Kristina Finn and Hermine Finn and 5 great grandchildren.
A visitation for Albert will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 3308 N Main St, Hope Mills, North Carolina 28348. A funeral service will occur Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 4:00 PM, 3308 N Main St, Hope Mills, North Carolina 28348.
A burial with military honors will occur Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 400 Murchison Rd., Spring Lake, North Carolina 28390.
