Alene was preceded in death by her husband John Barber, son Danny Barber, three sisters and two brothers.
She was a lifelong member of New Life Baptist Church and loved the almighty God.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 11:00 am at New Life Baptist Church with interment to follow at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Reeves Funeral Home.
Those left to mourn her passing include her children, Billy (Sandra), Thomas (Silvia) and Bobby (Joyce) all of Fayetteville, North Carolina, David (Cathy) of Dinwiddie, VA and Betty (Michael) of Hopewell, VA; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; brother, Bobby West of Fayetteville, North Carolina and sister, Betty Walters of Lumberton, North Carolina and many nieces and nephews.
