Charlotte Pope Reason

Charlotte Pope Reason, age 80, passed away peacefully June 16, 2023 from an extended illness. She was born January 10, 1943 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Ernest and Pauline Pope. She was lovingly raised by Otha and Eva Pope in Falcon, North Carolina. Charlotte married her longtime friend and love, Winston Jackson, who preceded her in death in 1996. She was predeceased by her daughter Michele Jackson Mosely in 1990. She later married Ben Reason who preceded her in death in 2016. Charlotte loved to bake cakes and was an avid gardener. She loved to read her Bible and share her faith with others. She was a faithful servant of the Lord teaching Sunday School at Lee’s Chapel Church for many years and volunteered at Black’s Chapel Thrift Store. She retired from the Financial Aid office at Campbell University in 2010.

Charlotte is survived by her son and wife, Lavelle and Kelly Jackson; sister and husband, Kathy and Lou Arvieux; her grandchildren, Graham Ashton, Brody Owen, and Landon Chase. All of whom she loved and touched deeply.

Honoring her wishes, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 23rd at Hickory Grove Baptist Church at 11341 US-421, Clinton, NC 28328.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michele Jackson Mosely Endowment at Mount Olive College.
