Clara Faye Tart

Ms. Tart was born May 16, 1935 a native of Sampson County the daughter of the late Harvey Matthews Edwards and Clara Bell Jackson Edwards and is preceded in death by her husband, Lucian Eugene Tart. She is also preceded in death by, a grandson, Christopher Shawn Tart, a Granddaughter, Crystal Dawn Tart, Brothers, Harold and Billy Edwards, and Sons-in-Law, Dale Darden and Gary Sills.

Faye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she loved cooking for her family and taking care of them. She retired from Burlington Industries in Erwin, NC. She loved gardening and growing flowers and loved to go fishing.

She enjoyed spending time with her sister and cousin playing Canasta.

A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, January 30, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Blackmans Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Tart, Rev. Tony Futrell and Rev. Ricky Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Church Cemetery.

Chris Tart & (wife) Tammy of Dunn, NC

Daughters: Diana Sills of Dunn, NC; Sheila McLeod & (husband) Ken of Dunn, NC;

Barbara Martin & (husband) Kenny “Pop” of Dunn, NC.

Her Fur Baby: Buddy.

Grandchildren: Tiffany Edward & (husband) Adam, Brittany Zeledon & (husband) Jeffrey, Madison Richardson & (husband) Chris, Zachary Tart, Gracie Tart & (husband) Bryan, Haley Tart, Blake Tart, MaKaylah Tart, Allen Cook & (wife) Amber, Lesley Clark & (husband) Russell, Ashley Barefoot & (friend) Holly Wiggins, Corey Strickland & (wife) Jessica, Adam Strickland, Kendall McLeod & (fiance) Joseph Lafromboise, Jeremy Darden & (wife) Vicki, Brian Darden & (wife) Angela and Amanda Martin Godwin & (husband) Steve.

Great Grandchildren: Liam Edwards, Lucas Edwards, Arya Small, Owen Small, Carson Zeledon, Jase Zeledon, Cayden Tart, Fletcher Cook, Emma Clark, Peyton Barefoot, Connor Barefoot, Layton Strickland, Landrie Kate Strickland, Tinslea LaFromboise, Gatlin LaFromboise, Kiley Darden, Matti Darden, Jeramy Shawn Darden, Bennet Darden, Carli Darden, Lindsay Darden, Kaylee Honeycutt, Kelsey Honeycutt and Emma Godwin.

Several Nieces and Nephews and host of Friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm at the Church prior to the Funeral.
