(6) is all that really matters. So, to your feelings of feeling less than… please hear me when I tell you you are the BEST daughter this family has. You are number one. And I will never stop practicing to be more like you. 
Jennifer’s light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts. She may no longer be with us, but she left the most valuable things. Her son, her spirit, her love for sunsets, the sound of the ocean, and the memories.
Thank you, Jennifer, for all the moments we shared and for the love you gave us. We will carry your memory with us, always finding comfort in the warmth of the sun, and hearing the echoes of your laughter in our hearts.

(5) Jennifer knew she could always turn to our mom, no matter what, and that kind of connection gave her the courage to face her own struggles. She admired our mom’s resilience and compassion, and in many ways, she reflected those qualities back to the world.
Her love for our mom and dad was deep and abiding, and even now, as we say goodbye, we know that the bond she shared with our parents will never be broken. She will always be their little girl, the one who brought so much joy and love into their lives.
Jennifer as a sister - Nen you were my therapist, my most trusted confidant, and my best friend. You also knew exactly how to get on my nerves. I remember so many childhood fights that'd end up with me in some way convincing you not to tell mom if you pushed me to far and I'd strike back a little too hard. Like that one time I broke the remote on your head, or the one time I flew the paper plane right in the corner of your eyeball and it stuck there. But like loyal siblings do, you wouldn't tell when you gave your word. And sometimes I'd get you back by touching you with my arm hairs. 
As we got older sometimes we'd have conversations where you'd express that you wished you were more like me. Or that sometimes you even felt second to me. Jennifer you always made me feel the safest and most loved sister in the world, and I don't know if I ever gave you the grace to express yourself to me as deeply as you needed. You were so sensitive and led with emotion, and I'm cold and executed. My way of love is to advise, and problem solve. You just let people be who they were and found just how to make thsn discover their best parts. My entire focus in life recently has been to try to be more like YOU. I want to be considerate, warm, and sentimental. I want to make people feel like they are the most important person when they talk to me - because that's exactly who you are. And after going through this, it's apparent more than ever that

(4) and said “Well… there’s your son.” Jennifer held every inch of my dad's heart. They’d make up songs, and the best recipes. Brown the meat, brown it nice… She’d get my dad cacklin and would not let up once she got him going. She’d have him on the floor in tears laughing. Even in a super public place, like Riplys Museum in South Carolina. She shared his shyness, and his desire to ensure everyone was having a good time from the sidelines. Jennifer shared a connection rooted in admiration and respect for our dad. She looked up to him, valuing his wisdom and guidance. Despite her own struggles, she never wanted to burden him, always striving to bring positivity into their conversations. 
My mom was Jennifer’s confidante, someone who understood her emotional depths and shared in her joys and sorrows. They spent countless hours together, talking about everything, with Jennifer always eager to bring a smile to our mom's face. Whether through a heartfelt conversation, reminiscing, or constant quoting of inside jokes - my sister was forever grateful to have our mother as her Mommy. Jennifer was mom’s pity pity princess. Her girly girl. Jennifer and my mom shared so many memories getting their hair and nails done, and special dinner dates. These were not just routine outings but cherished rituals that deepened their bond. Each moment spent together was a reminder of the love and understanding they shared. Jennifer got our moms story telling ability, and her emotional capacity, and her strength to face the most difficult obstacles and push through. Just as our mom supported her through life’s challenges, Jennifer became a source of comfort and laughter for her, always finding a way to make even the toughest days a little brighter. Their relationship was one of mutual respect, love, and unwavering support. Jennifer knew she could always turn to our mom, no matter what, and that kind of connection gave her the courage to face her own struggles.

(3) and was truly interested in hearing all about your mundane details. She’d never miss an opportunity to compliment you, or help you find the bright side in any story you shared with her. 
Her friendships were so deep they crossed the line into family. I view Natalie, Karen, and Heather just as much my sisters as Jennifer, because she made them that way. There was no negotiation that every outing, every dinner, every family vacation - Jennifer took her bonus sisters along. They are as much weaved into my childhood memories as she is. She was an advocate for everybody, she was your best cheerleader. 
Jennifer brought life to those all around her, but brought TO life her precious son Cayden. I was there the night she found out she was pregnant and patted her tummy all the way up until you were born. She was so nervous to become a mother, but she wanted nothing more in this world than to make Cayden proud and despite all her obstacles of being a young mother she raised the most beautiful, sweet, loving boy who will go into the world carrying her legacy and continue on her positivity and consideration for others. Cayden, you have the most of Jennifer in you. She created you, and instilled in you her best parts. You're ability to be attentive to everyone around you, and you're level headedness in the face of emotional crisis is 100% Jennifer. She wanted everyone around her to be happy. You got to hone those qualities and keep them as your strongest characteristics baby, because that's what you're momma made you to be in this world. Don't lose those.
Jennifer was a precious gift to our parents. From the moment she came into this world, she brought a light that only grew brighter with time. She was their little girl, the soul that made our family complete. Full of curiosity and wonder, always striving to make them proud.

(2) She was so funny many of her jokes were unintentional. Like her impeccable pronunciation of words (‘linger-ree’, and a 30 ‘oz’ drink, or how many ‘lbs’ something weighed). Her greatest joy was being able to make people laugh, and she'd stop at no “scoop” to get it. 
Jennifer was too big for one personality. She was constantly conjuring up different persona's. She had her silly Roboyto with half slitted eyes and wobbly smile - or her sexy Mariah with her velvet dresses and clear jelly shoes. 
One the first characters she took on was as early as before she started going to school. Our mom would take her to go swim in the pool but after she saw The Little Mermaid, she wouldn't go until you addressed her as Ariel. I think this was the most lingering persona of all of hers. She embodied the mystery and beauty of a mermaid, that always had that slightly dark twinge to it. She may have only had it in her to give small opportunities to catch glimpses of her when she'd break the surface before she was pulled back down in the deep, but when she did crest the waterline her warmth made you sure not want to miss those sightings. 
There is a theory that those who see repeated numbers often are “Lightworkers”. Lightworkers are people who spread light everywhere they go and have the power to bring harmony to other people. If you knew Jennifer, you knew she'd never miss an “11:34”. The time on the clock, a radio station, a random set of numbers on a scratch ticket… 11:34 became a small, personal sign, a reminder of her unique way to find magic in the everyday. To know Jennifer was to know your best friend. She made you feel like the most important person in the room. She was the least judgemental person in the world. You could share anything with her and you’d know your secrets were safe. She never wanted to talk about herself or her troubles. She’d be in one of the lowest points in her life, but ask you a million questions about how your life was

Eulogy for Jennifer Morton
(1) Today, we gather to celebrate the life of my beloved sister, Jennifer Lee Morton. As we come together, our hearts are heavy, but our spirits are also lifted by the precious memories and the undeniable impact she had on all of us.
Jennifer was born on August 19, 1988, 4 years, 4 months, 4 days, and 4 hours, after me. Though her time with us was too short, it was filled with moments that truly mattered. She was a soul who embraced life with a passion and a spirit that could light up any room. 
Jennifer was a mother, a daughter, a sister and friend, and in all of those relationships she had the ability to love each deeply and share her light with those around her. She never burdened anybody. Her strength and resilience were truly admirable.
Jennifer had a deep love for music, a universal language that spoke to her heart and often mirrored her emotions. In her music, you could find her joys, her struggles, and her immense capacity for love. We loved to sing together and would practice at any opportunity we had. From our trio group performances of Destinys Child in the backyard with Karen, to our private concerts in the living room singing “All I have to do is dream” and lowering the curtains like we were on stage - Jennifer and I were always finding companionship in song. Nearly every conversation we had, we'd play guess the song. And she would beat me all the time! I'm looking forward to you sending me hints to see if I can catch them, nen. I'll keep playing with you. 
Those who knew Jennifer well would describe her as deeply sentimental and incredibly funny. Her laughter was infectious, and her sense of humor could turn even the toughest days into moments of joy. A master of jokes, her favorite being… “What does a lamp say to a lampshade… Get it!??” She loved to pull pranks, like “Hey dad, are you scared of a hairbrush?” Or constantly keeping my mom on edge with jumping out from hidden corners.

Such a sweet and gentle girl, such a sweet and gentle soul.

I am so sorry for the loss of your much loved Jennifer.  As the oldest Getty family member still living, I am saddened once again.  I am comforted by knowing that Jennifer is with Jesus and the Getty family in Heaven, especially her Grandfather, my dearest Cousin, Benny.  My condolences to Michele, Cayden, Mary Lou, Jamie, Scott and Chris, you are in my thoughts and prayers.  May Jennifer rest in peace in the arms of Jesus.

Jennifer there are so many things I wanted to do with you. I can’t believe you’re gone. I miss you so much. You were a perfect angel every time you were around me. You never thought about yourself you always cared for everyone else. It’s not fair that you’re gone, you had your whole life ahead of you. I can’t stop thinking that I should have done more for you. I think that if I had reached out more you would still be here. I will never forgive myself for that! I love you so much and I will miss you everyday for the rest my life. I’ll be with you soon.
