John Paul McLamb

John was born in Bladen County, but spent the last several years of his life in Fayetteville, NC. He consistently worked to increase his understanding of God’s divine word. He made it his goal to read the entire bible yearly. J.P. was a devout member of Freedom Baptist Church in Eastover, NC. His outgoing personality and constant smile made him a well-liked person who could spark a conversation with complete strangers. John loved his family; he sacrificed for the needs of his family.

John is preceded in death by his wife Evelene Brewer McLamb; his son Paul Daniel McLamb; his parents William and Ellen McLamb; his brother Oscar (Leon) McLamb and sisters Lorraine Burney, Gertha Cavaner and Alice Green. He is survived by his children John Steven McLamb (Jennifer) and William McLamb, daughter-in-law Carol; his grandchildren Michael McLamb, Christopher McLamb, Robert McLamb, and Amanda McLamb; his brother William F. McLamb and sister Annet Tidwell; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and other relatives.

A Memorial Service for John McLamb will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11:00 am at Freedom Baptist Church, 2115 Middle Road, Eastover, NC.
