

Larry was born and raised in Fayetteville. After attending Terry Sanford High School, he became an Owner/Operator of Fayetteville Cigar & Candy Co. for over 25 years, where he got the nickname "Candy Man". He was also a Founder of TobaccoVille Outlets in 2010, and Little Vegas Sweepstakes City in 2011.
He was one of four children born to Mr. & Mrs. Charles R. Freeman Jr., and was a beloved husband of Brenda R Freeman for over 20 years. Larry will forever be remembered by his children, Larry R. Freeman Jr., Jeremy R. Freeman, Justin B. Freeman, and Brianna Hall; treasured grandchildren, Ryland, Keagan, and Zoe; mother, Genevieve Freeman; brothers, Charles, Ray, and Kenny; and along with countless other friends and family, whom were blessed to know him. Larry loved being with his family and enjoyed having fun with his friends.
Larry touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark ways all the way to the end. Friends and family were invited to attend a visitation on Sunday, November 20, 2011 from 7pm to 9pm at Reeves Funeral Home, 3308 North Main St., Hope Mills, NC, (910)424-3700, and funeral services with burial on Monday the 21st at 3pm, located at Peters Creek Baptist Church, 13176 Peters Creek Church Rd., Roseboro, NC 28382, (910)531-3621.
