Mrs .Merlie Catherine Parker Upchurch, Age 94, of Dunn died Thursday Evening July 23, 2015 at Harnett Woods Nursing & Rehab. in Dunn. Mrs. Upchurch was born in Harnett County on January 12, 1921 the daughter of the late Edward & Carrie Turlington Parker and is preceded in death by her Husband, Rupert Upchurch. She is also preceded in death a sister, Edna Byrd and a brother, Edward Parker and a nephew, Nicky Byrd. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 27, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Prospect Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Phil Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Church Cemetery. She is survived by: A Niece: Ann Williams of Louisiana and other nieces and nephews. Cousins: Judy & Donald West, Frankie Parker & J.W.
