

Peggy was born December 22, 1941, in Mallory, WV. She was the daughter of the late Brooks Louise Ferrell and the late Charles Whitlock Jr. She was raised in a loving home by her grandparents, Cathie and Allen Ferrell.
Peggy was a dedicated military wife of 24 years to the late Jerry Lee Saylor. She consistently maintained their home in Hope Mills, NC during his military travels abroad.
Peggy spent much of her life being a nurturing, supportive military wife, homemaker and extraordinary mother to her four daughters. She was later employed at Rockfish Elementary as a teacher's assistant for several years. She went on to become a childcare provider at Kindercare and then worked as a trusted Au Pair for several families in the Fayetteville community.
Peggy enjoyed sharing her love and wisdom with her 9 grandchildren: Brian and Jeremy King, Courtney Saylor and Caleb Williams, Kevin II and Mack Horn, and Joshua, Roy III, and Kaigan Downing. She was blessed with 6 great-grandchildren: Wesley, Hannah and Autumn King and Zachary, Zoie, and Zander Kegley. She was eagerly anticipating the birth of Oliver Patrick Horn.
Peggy was preceded in death by her sisters Norma Jean Wooten, Kathy Erb and brother Donald Ferrell.
Peggy is survived by her devoted life partner of 30 years, Johnny Mack Suber, who faithfully stood by her side through all of life's joys and challenges; brothers Melvin Gray Jr and Tom Engler, of Grove City, OH; daughters Patricia King of Missouri, Donna Saylor of Leland, NC, Cheri Horn (Kevin Sr) of Navarre, FL and Nancy Downing (Roy Jr) of Hope Mills, NC.
