Sandy Meyd Freeland, age 77, of Fayetteville, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022. Sandy was born September 2, 1944. Sandra Meyd Freeland, age 77, of Fayetteville, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022 in her home with her loving husband Bob and granddaughter Shannon by her side. Sandra was born September 2, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Cy and Orella Meyd. Sandy was a loving wife, mother and friend to those who she encountered bring life and light into their day because of the impact they had on hers. She was the most amazing woman you could ever know. She loved with all her heart, she was brilliant, an artist with pottery and sewing especially quilts, she adored animals and plants, she loved coke and has a whole bookshelf full of old coke products, her favorite sceneries in nature other than flowers were of fresh fallen snow and colorful autumn leaves, and the best times of our lives were with her; be it camping or just sitting around hearing her childhood stories or learning something from her like how to knit. She taught us so much and it is our hope we will never forget any of it. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bob of 51 years; daughter, Tammy; son, Jeff; granddaughter, Shannon of the home; brother, David and his wife Ellie; sister, Susan and her husband Denny and a whole host of friends and family. A Funeral service will be held Monday, May 9th at 3:45 PM at Cumberland United Methodist Church on Bingham Drive in Fayetteville. A visitation with family and friends will be held at the Cumberland United Methodist Church prior to the service starting at 3:00 PM.
