
Sebastian Charlie Munevargonzalez was born on March 25, 2007, in Fort Benning, Georgia, to Pablo Munevargonzalez and Samantha Torres. He passed away on March 31, 2026, at the age of 19. Sebastian will be remembered as a humorous, thoughtful, and compassionate young man whose presence brought both warmth and meaning to those around him.
Sebastian was known for always doing well in school and for the steady determination he brought to his education. Throughout his school career, he participated in the Chess Club and Debate Teams, pursuits that reflected his sharp mind and his ability to consider ideas with care and respect. He later attended Methodist University in pursuit of his Degree in Education, continuing to build a future rooted in learning and service to others.
In addition to his academic interests, Sebastian enjoyed video games, music, and reading. He played both guitar and piano, and his love of music was one of the many ways he expressed his personality and connected with others.
Sebastian also gave of himself through campus life, serving as president of the Math Club at Methodist University. In that role, he demonstrated leadership marked by kindness and consideration, and he earned the respect of peers who valued his steady presence and genuine character.
Sebastian was preceded in death by his grandfather Bob Barden. He is survived by his parents, Pablo Munevargonzalez (Jessie) and Samantha Torres; his grandparents, Rosalbina Gonzalez, Sarah Barden, and Julio Munevar; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will cherish his memory.
A Memorial Service will be held at Reeves Funeral Home, 3308 N Main St, Hope Mills, North Carolina 28348, on April 11, 2026, at 12:00 pm.
