Theodore Brown III

Theodore Brown III, age 68, passed away on April 5, 2026. Born on November 3, 1957, in Ticonderoga, NY, Theodore was the hard-working, kind-hearted, resilient, and selfless youngest of three children born to Theodore and Helen Brown.

In 1982, Theodore joined the United States Army. Through years of dedicated service, he rose to the rank of Sergeant First Class, retiring in 2003. Following his military retirement, he continued serving the mission as a civilian contractor at Fort Bragg in information security. Later, he accepted a position with CISCO Systems, where he remained employed until his death.

Theodore was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Helen Brown; his sister, Patty Maynard; and his fur buddy, Ruger. He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Brown (Lorenzo Corona); his sister, Sally Trow (William); as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He will also be deeply missed by his grandcats.

A man of steady interests and simple joys, Theodore loved firearms, enjoyed hunting, playing video games, watching TV, and valued time spent with friends and family. He was also a member of a hunting club and the Knights of Columbus, where he served as Grand Knight at one time.

Visitation will be held at Reeves Funeral Home, 3308 N Main St, Hope Mills, North Carolina 28348, on April 15, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at Reeves Funeral Home on April 15, 2026, at 12:00 pm.

Burial with Military Honors will take place at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 400 Murchison Rd., Spring Lake, North Carolina 28390, US, on April 15, 2026.
