

Tom was the son of the late John Alan Ludwick and Florence Mae Whiteman Ludwick. He was born on January 5, 1943, in Mahoning County, OH.
After serving in the U.S. Army, he married Jo Ann Beasley of Dunn, NC. Tom was a hard-working man and retired from the City of Dunn as a Waste Treatment Operator. Thomas worked on satellite dishes, repaired TVs and microwaves on the side.
He was the life of the party, a true jokester. He had an infectious laugh, with a heart of gold, and generous to a fault. He never met a stranger, treating everyone the same and always implying my house is your house.
Tom was there for his family, always being a true provider with his hardworking hands. “Superman” was his special nickname and a John Deere tractor man at heart.
Tom is preceded in death by his loving wife Jo Ann, of 59 years. Also, by four brothers Al, Pete, Jack and Don Ludwick. A grandson Tanner James Ludwick and a great-grandson Easton Tanner also preceded him in death.
Thomas, is survived by two daughters, Tammy Strickland, and husband Harold, of Dunn, NC, and Kelly Britt, and husband Ray, of Raleigh, NC; a son, T.J. Ludwick, of Dunn, NC.
Thomas is also survived by five grandchildren, Samantha Tanner, and husband Blake, of Dunn, NC; Ethan Britt, and wife Catherine, of Fuquay Varina, NC; Savannah Ludwick, Avery Ludwick, and Evan Ludwick, of Papillion, NE; and a great-grandson, Rowen “Goose” Tanner, of Dunn, NC.
Family and friends will gather from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home.
A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends are welcome at the home of Harold and Tammy Strickland.
