Everyone that knew William called him Bill. His loved ones described him as an easy going, reliable man with a giving heart, who loved to spend time with his family. Bill was a die hard Duke Blue Devils fan and always had a Mountain Dew in his hand.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents William Fitchett Sr and Edith Powell Fitchett; his wife Kathy Strickland; his sister Cathy Ranches; and brother Tommy Arrington. Bill is survived by two brothers, Glen Fitchett, and Jimmy Arrington; His only child Danielle Ray (James); 8 grandchildren, Taylor(Michael), Kameron (Morgan), Chance, Scoot, Keyla, and Trey; 2 great-grandchildren, Callie and Markus.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 4:00 pm at Evans Grove Bible Church of God located at 109 S. Brooklyn Street in Maxton, North Carolina.
