
Alvie J. Schoenfeldt of Hot Springs passed away on April 2. He was born in Platt City, Kansas on August 15, 1936, to the late Alfred Schoenfeldt and Crystal Beck. Alvie lived most of his life in Hot Springs. Alvie was predeceased by his sister, Evelyn, and brothers, Art, Jimmy and Alfred (Bud).
Alvie served four years in the United States Navy and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He owned and operated an automotive repair service from 1969 to 1993. Alvie then spent ten years employed by the Arkansas State Park System. Alvie was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed traveling to all areas of the United States.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and is survived by his wife, Marie of 63 years, a son Alvie Dean Schoenfeldt, a daughter, Christy Schoenfeldt Cox, five grandchildren, Nicholas Schoenfeldt, Ashley Schoenfeldt Sanchez, Jonathan (Brandy) Branstetter, and Casey Cox, two great granddaughters, Alexa Jace Branstetter and Lacy Evelyn Sanchez and one great grandson, Ethan Jon Branstetter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at a later date at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic School or to the charity of your choice.
