Arlene Hannah Dalton, 84, of Bonnerdale passed away March 5. Arlene was born in Far Rockaway, New York to the late Sam and Rose Solomon in the spring of 1934. Her siblings Harvey, Bernie and Pearl also preceded Arlene in death.
She married Tom Dalton and travelled much of the country with him as a military wife. They settled in Arkansas, Tom’s home state, and raised their children, Dan (Stephanie) Dalton and Donna (Greg) Richter. Arlene and Tom celebrated 35 years of faith and family before he passed.
Arlene was an active member of the community. A longtime teacher’s aide for Caddo Hills School District and member of Norman Baptist Church and Mt Moriah Missionary Baptist Church; she loved meeting new people, trying new things, being surrounded by children, and never taking a day given to her by the Lord for granted.
She will be thought of often by her children and her grandchildren Cortney Wright, Aaron Dalton, Meggan Moody, Hannah Dalton, and Andrew Richter, who will cherish her memory and continue to tell stories of her life adventures. And Arlene will be especially missed by her great grandchildren- Isabella Wright, Ava Wright, and Madden Moody- with whom she played and snuggled almost daily.
