

Betty Sue Farless, affectionately known to many as “Ms. Betty” received her promotion to heaven on August 19, 2024, where she met her Savior that she loved and had served for many years. She was 91 years old. She was reunited with Ray Farless, her beloved husband, two of her daughters, Susan Kay Wheatley and Deborah Sue Farless, as well as her parents, and her siblings J. W. Denton, David Denton, William (Bill) Denton and Mary K. Boyles.
Betty was born in Hot Springs to William and Josephine Denton on June 3, l933. She graduated from Hot Springs High School and worked as a bookkeeper for many, many years at Merritt Wholesale. Her life was full of love and laughter, there was never a dull moment! She was never afraid to speak her mind or stand up for what she believed in. She was an incredibly strong woman who led by example. Her faith was unshakeable, and she prayed daily for everyone in her life. She will always be remembered for sense of humor and her ability to make anyone laugh. She was definitely a feisty one!
Survivors include her daughters Nancy Rynders, Judy (Jim) Norman, Sandra (Pete) Noles, Vicky (Maurice), Randall, her sister, Carolyn Davis, 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Maurice Randall, Jim Norman, Pete Noles, Bill Mendenhall, Ray Ford and Zack Ford.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m. at Gross Funeral Home. The service will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, at the funeral home with Brother Bobby Thornton officiating and Chaplain John Moore assisting.
Interment will be at Crestview Cemetery.
