

His favorite things in life were spending time with his family and watching his kids excel in sports. Brad was the definition of a family man, devoting much of his time practicing and encouraging his kids and others. You could often find him in the yard with the football throwing machine or in the driveway shooting hoops, not only with his kids, but with anyone who wanted to play along.
Brad loved his New Life Church family and made it a priority in his life. One of his greatest joys in life was watching the salvation and baptism of his children and his wife.
Brad grew up playing basketball, baseball, and football. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying duck hunting, fly fishing, and he was a competitive slalom skier.
Brad graduated from Hot Springs High School and the University of Arkansas with a degree in Accounting. He was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity at the University of Arkansas. Brad was the CFO of Summit Properties in Hot Springs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Eugene “Gene” Braughton, his maternal grandparents, George and Frances Prince, and his fraternal grandparents, Robert Braughton and Ruth Braughton.
Survivors include his wife Ashley McCord Braughton, his son, Braden Braughton (17), daughter Brooklynn Braughton (13), stepdaughter, Carson McCord and stepson Zachary Roberts, he loved them like his own. He is also survived by his mother, Sue Braughton, sister, Allison Braughton Ramsey, and brother Kevin Braughton. Surviving nieces and nephews include; Alyx Ramsey, Blakely Braughton, Kristin Braughton, Peyton Ramsey, Collin Braughton, and Kayden McCord.
Honorary pallbearers include Kevin Braughton, Matt White, Rick Williams, Todd Logsdon, Craig Stibor, Larry Clark, Eric Miller, Brad Burnette, Kirk Conville, Coach Greg Mundy, Trip Qualls, John Horner, Brett Parker, Glenn Watts, David Paul, Brent Godwin, Joe Whelan, Leath Harper and Lee Maris. There are so many others we could list and we apologize if we missed anyone.
Grave side service will be Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 4:00 at Hot Springs Memorial Gardens on 2868 Airport Road. A celebration of life service will follow at 6:00 at New Life Church on 300 Pakis St. Hot Springs, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Life Church-Hot Springs.
