Don served proudly in the United States Marine Corp. After completing his military service he retired with 30 plus years from Caterpillar in Aurora, IL. In 1990 he and his wife Diana moved to Hot Springs to enjoy the lake, continue boating, and pursue their lifelong love of travel.
Survivors include his sister, Pat Timmons (Mel); sister-in-law, Cynthia Westerman (John); nieces, Carol Fontana (Matthew), Bridget Nelson (Richard), Erin Westerman (Michael Disco) and Jessica Westerman and great nephew Erik Nelson.
Don is predeceased by his wife of 54 years Diana and half sister Jessie Carter.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 15th at 1:00 P.M. at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church with Pastor Charles Gilmore officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church or the Wounded Warrior Project.
