He was born October 15, 1935 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to the late Lloyd Clay and Florence (Mansfield) O’Dell. Donald was a U.S. Army veteran, and a retired mortgage insurance agent. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity at the University of Arkansas and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, where he volunteered.
Donald is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Ida Jane O’Dell.
Survivors include his children Leslie McNevin, Michael O’Dell, Clay O’Dell and Donny O’Dell; grandchildren Alyssa O’Dell and Jackie O’Dell; and sister Jeannie Quinn.
A memorial service will be held10:00 am Monday at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 228 Spring St, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71901, with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke’s.
