Dorothy was known as a very loving woman with a kind spirit! She loved her friends and family and enjoyed sewing, playing games (especially dominos); and would often host them as she loved to entertain. Harry and Jan enjoyed her as their traveling companion and she cherished the memories of several trips spanning all across the country. Being a devout Lutheran, she was a very active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ft. Worth, having served on several committees and was a member of the Eastern Star. Dorothy served our country during World War II as a “Rivot Girl” working on airplanes in California.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Sam Baxter; and siblings, Richard Dies, Agnes Daughtery, and Alice Dart.
Cherishing her memory are her two brothers, Harry (Jan) Dies of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Donald Dies of Sun City, Arizona; her nieces, nephews; and countless friends.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Belvedere Nursing and Rehabilitation for all of the love and extraordinary care shown to her.
