Liz enjoyed shopping, musicals, antiques, and art; she was most invested, however, in her career as a social worker. Liz worked for DCFS for over 25 years and remained, even in retirement, a champion for abused and neglected children.
She leaves behind her siblings Evelyne (Joe) Williams, Joseph (Donna)Thomas, and Jimmy (Tammy)Thomas; nephews Donald Thomas, Joey (Julie) Williams, Matthew (Martha) Thomas, Cody (Mary) Williams, and Daniel Thomas; niece Elizabeth (Hampton) Honeycutt; great nephew JT Williams; great niece Karison Thomas; a wealth of great friends; kitties Tuppy and Owney; and puppies, Gracie, Maggie, and Tinker.
In lieu of flowers, please consider the Garland County Humane Society.
The family would like to give special thanks to Julie Williams and Kindred Hospice, Dr. Robert Breving, and all the kind people at National Park Medical Center ICU.
A celebration of Liz’s life will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, February 12th, 2018 in the chapel of Gross Funeral Home with Teddy Frye officiating.
The online obituary, guestbook, and memorial tribute are available at www.GrossFuneralHome.com.
