
Floyd was born in Cambria, Wisconsin to the late Fred H. and Alma B. Bahr.
A World War II veteran, Floyd entered the Marine Corps in 1942. He served in the South Pacific during his tour of duty which lasted until 1946.
After returning from wartime service, Floyd enrolled at Ripon College and later graduated from Fon du Lac College with degrees in Accounting and Business Administration.
In 1950 Floyd began a distinguished career with the IRS which lasted over 35 years. In July 1980 he was awarded by the Department of the Treasury their highest honor, The Albert Gallatin Award.
Floyd was a life member of VFW Post 641019, HSV; NARFE Chapter 1368, HSV; Men’s Golf Association and a member of Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Leona S. Johnson and a brother Julius F. Bahr.
Cherishing his memory are his wife of 63 years, Mary Lu Sauer Bahr; children Charles Bahr of Illinois, Susan Bahr Maranto of Hot Springs, and Steven (Michele) Bahr of Oregon; grandchildren Annie Bahr, Sara Beauchamp, Jeff and Chad Bahr; and great grand-children Collin and Lauren Beauchamp.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 19 at 1:30 pm at Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church with Dr. Walter Smith officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church in Hot Springs Village, or a charity of your choice.
